A Message from the Principal
Dear Wright Students and Families,
Welcome to the 2011-2012 school year at Wright Elementary School. I hope you had a wonderful summer break, filled with opportunities to learn and grow. My name is Mrs. Haley Fleegle and I am the new principal at Wright Elementary. I served as a teacher in the Altoona Area School District for the past eight years and I am honored to be continuing my career as the principal at Wright. I am looking forward to creating meaningful and positive relationships with the Wright community.
Wright continues to show its success by meeting the Pennsylvania state requirements for Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) for the 2010-2011 school year. This year we will continue to build on this success. Through the help of students, parents, and staff we can build a strong community focusing on academic success, fostering the love of learning, and creating productive citizens in our community.
It is my belief that with all parts of this community working together, we will be unstoppable. I will do my part by helping create a supportive environment for students, staff, and parents. I expect that students, staff, and parents do their part to make our team successful.
I encourage you to introduce yourself and be part of your child’s school experience as much as possible. I look forward to working with you and doing my part to create a wonderful school experience for everyone on the Wright team.
